Paul Jenkins was born in 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. From 1933 until 1942 he first studied at the Kansas City Art Institute Missouri and in the early fifties he continued his career at the New Yorker Art Students League in New York. This is where he first got in contact with artists like Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock and Barnett Newman.
Paul Jenkins is represented in many museums, galleries and collections worldwide.
He died in New York City in 2012.
